The 5th Annual Fitness on the Rocks was on July 18 and was the best one yet! This is Colorado‘s premier outdoor fitness event that takes place at one of the most beautiful venues in the world, Red Rocks Amphitheater, and every year, it gets bigger and better, and this year was a BLAST!  Fitness on the Rocks truly shows the power of determination, hard work and community, and we were lucky to have the absolute best group of volunteers on the Hydration Team.  We could not have done it without all these amazing folks!

We were once again in charge of the most vital part of the day, keeping all of the hard working fitness enthusiasts cool and hydrated. This event is HUGE and Complicated, and uses all of our resources. We brought up 3 of our hydration stations, 26 5-gallon jugs and over 7,000 biodegradable bottles of water.

Throughout the day there were countless activities and vendors to keep everyone entertained. A variety of companies were involved this year to teach their speciality. The main stages featured classes with Orange Theory, Zumba, Body Combat, UJam Fitness and The River. Our friends at Fitness in the City and The River ran Yoga Cross classes all day long and Reebok sponsored a Pump & Jump. Aside from the workouts there were hundreds of vendors, DJs, food trucks and even an obstacle course!

The day was, as expected, extremely HOT. Aside from keeping everyone cool with misters and water guns, we helped set up and coordinate a massive Slip ‘n Slide, which was a great way to cool off after a workout. At the end of the day, we once again had the cool down of the year with the largest water fight in Colorado! By using all of our leftover water and ice melt for the water fight we were able to put our remaining water to good use! We brought up 4,000 biodegradable water balloons, 25 Super Soakers and thousands of custom WorldLife squirt guns. It was an all out free-for-all with water flying everywhere, and smiles across the entire top deck of Red Rocks!

Keeping everyone cool and hydrated was not an easy task but as always we had a blast and are already looking forward to Fitness on the Rocks 2016!

The weekend of September 12-14 was spent in Telluride, Colorado as the water sponsors for The 21st annual Telluride Blues and Brews. Telluride Blues and Brews is a 3 day festival and is “one of the most scenic and intimate festivals in the country.” The music was diverse, there was blues, funk, jam bands, indie, rock, gospel and soul performances.  The festival was not solely about the music however, throughout the day there was so much to do- on Saturday there was a tasting from the best microbreweries in the country, while every day there was a wide variety of food and craft vendors, children’s activities and late night shows.

The festival itself wanted to create as little waste as possible so there was NO plastic bottles being sold on site, which we fully supported, but it meant we had to get creative with our event hydration. We only give bottles to the artists and staff members running the event both at the venue and at their late night shows. It was pretty cool seeing Buddy GuyLee Fields and The Expressions and so many other talented artists drinking WorldLife Water on a stage in front of 10,000 people. We also provided tents that were used as the entry way to the VIP area and the entry way to get into the venue from backstage.

We wanted to create a more personal presence throughout the festival so we brought some awesome hydration packs. These backpacks had 2 tubes that fill up 3 liters of water each. We wandered around the venue daily and reminded people to stay hydrated as we filled up their cups with water. Many people didn’t have cups, or their cups were full with beer so we had them get on one knee and squirted straight into their mouths. The “Thirst Busters” were a huge hit as it was hot and people were drunk. The festival attendees loved us and thanked us for easing their hangovers and providing hydration in a convenient manner. Some folks would even see us from afar and chase us down.

We left Telluride being known as “Water Boy” and “Water Girl” but overall we played a vital role, met some fabulous people, and had a blast at Telluride Blues and Brews and can’t wait to go back again next year!

SIA 2014

If you consider yourself a ski or snowboard gear junky, few places are more exciting than the Snowsports Industry of America Snow Show in Denver.  Everything you could possibly imagine relating to snow can be found through the expansive walkways of the Denver Convention Center where the annual event is held.  We’re talking hats, socks, skis, helmets, boots, snowboards, sleds, hand warmers and even shot skis.

While there’s a lot of work involved with showing off next years gear, as soon as 5pm hits, beer and music start flowing.  We were thrilled to team up with the incredible Spyder team again for their official SIA Lot Party held outside of the Convention center.  As always, they definitely bring the party!  Free food, free drinks and live music played all night as the snow fell onto the busy Denver streets.  We were there to make sure everyone stayed hydrated; people tend to forget to drink water when it’s cold out!  Check out the photo’s below!

Cincinnati Pride 2013

This past weekend brought heavy rain to the tri-state area, but it didn’t stop people from coming together to celebrate the annual Cincinnati Pride Festival and Parade.  Individuals and groups from all walks of life came to show support for a very important day.   This years festivities were exciting for everyone involved as it was the 40th anniversary of Cincinnati Pride, but was made unique by the Supreme Court rulings on DOMA and marriage equality last week.  The Parade, filled with walkers and floats alike, was followed by live music and performances from local artists and Headliner Debbie Gibson at Sawyer Point on the river.  This past week has been a great step forward in equality and we at WorldLife Water feel very fortunate to be able to support such an incredible event.

Hydrating the little ones too!

We were lucky to be in the presence of royalty!

With snow (hopefully!) behind us now and warmer weather rapidly approaching, getting into shape seems to be on everyone’s mind.  You’ll be able to meet your goals for the summer thanks to the opening of Fitness in the City.  Their grand opening was this past Saturday and what an opening it was.  Over 300 people came out to jump into classes while getting a bunch of free stuff from vendors that came out to support FITC.  FITC offers great classes such as lifting 101 and renovation (a low weight, high intensity workout), along with Zumba and MMA conditioning.  No one wants to be left in the dust this summer at the 3rd Annual Fitness on the Rocks, so lets get working with Fitness in the City and make this summer your best ever!

Last Friday we had the pleasure of sponsoring the Denver Art Museum “Uncorked” Wine Tasting and Silent Auction.  The annual event brings wineries and breweries from all over the US and the world to benefit the art museum.  Heavy hors d’oeuvres were also served; our favorite was the caprese salad.  The Denver Art Museum is one of the largest museums in the west and one of the most unique in Colorado, boasting over 70,000 pieces of work.   Click here for current gallery showings.  WorldLife could not be happier  to support a very important cultural part of Denver and we hope that everyone makes a trip to this fantastic museum in the near future.  Don’t forget to scroll down to check out photo’s from the event.

This past weekend we were very excited to team up with Aspen Peak Magazine and the Susan G Komen foundation for Ski for the cure 2013 at the Sky Hotel in Aspen, Colorado.  Teams competed for prizes in events such as most vertical feet traveled and best costume (trust us there were some good ones!).  The après party afterwards was great too, lots of music, food, drinks, and of course great tasting water from WorldLife!  Check out the photos below, and be sure to look for our next great event coming up soon.
